A First Look at Book II!

Alright, Reader. I thought that I would go out on a limb and give you a sneak peek at some of the content of The Prince's Orphans. First of all, I must say that I was so impressed by the artwork of our good friend from England David Morris that I am using his sketch as inspiration for the cover of The Prince's Orphans! David sketched this while we were talking at WonderCon 2008 in San Francisco. I included it in the "Concept Art" area on this site as well as here.

As I said before, there will be some new characters in the next installment of the series. This character has been mentioned a couple of times in Pajo, but you haven't been able to meet him...until now. The following is a link to an actual rough draft segment of the next book.

Sakra Aesraiyu - The Dragoneer

In that fairly short segment, you might see a couple of instances of foreshadowing. Yes, although only twenty years-old, Sakra does have a little bit of a past. And, as you can well imagine, he has an even more interesting future! Such as when he is summoned by the Circle of Twelve and meets an interesting character for the first time.

Sakra Meets Pajo

Well, Reader, I hope that you enjoyed that little sneak peak into what's in store for the series. Let me know what you think. These are only rough draft segments—I'll talk more about my particular method of writing next time—and I am always open to critique/suggestions/questions. Bookworm 579 has opened a new The Prince's Orphans section in the Forum. I frequent the Forum site and will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have...within reason! I will try not to give away any spoilers.

Again, I am hoping to have a completed book in time for launching at Comic-Con 2009 (July 2009).

And so Reader, be well,
